What I've Learned About Letting Go (The Hard Way)

How has 2026 been for you as we head into the 2nd quarter already? Not going to lie - a lot of 2025 was difficult! Even though life always provides us with times of beauty, laughter and love - overall it still was tougher than I would have liked. Tough simply means clearing programs - old ways of being - old beliefs, etc. It's a necessary part of our ascension, but never easy for our human.

I've noticed (and, maybe this will resonate with you too!) that a major theme for 2026 in my life has been the idea of letting go. Letting go of repeated experiences that cause frustration and are undesirable. Maybe it's how we're showing up in relationships, or beliefs that keep us stuck, or an organization or group that's no longer aligned. I've experienced all of it. What experiences are creating challenges for you?

Letting go is often easier said than done - especially when we may not know how. One of the biggest lessons I’ve been learning is to release resistance to what is, particularly when it doesn’t match what I think I want. I’ve noticed how tightly I can hold onto the belief that my reality needs to look a certain way, and how that attachment can actually block the possibility of something greater unfolding. Where is resistance showing up in your life? Where are you resisting what is?

That resistance showed up not just mentally, but physically—creating tension in my body when things didn’t unfold the way I believed my life was supposed to be. What I’m learning now—sometimes the hard way—is how to move through life with more lightness. To stay intentional about what I’m creating, while also remaining flexible and open to what is presenting. I can't say I've mastered this process quite yet - but I'm getting better at it. And, I have an awareness now of what to do and how to do it next time. It's through awareness and practice that we can create change and realities that are to our liking.

Being more open has allowed me to experience life from a lighter place, to trust in God's plan, and now greater levels of peace and joy are filling my life again. Sometimes we need that contrast of what life feels like to be in resistance verses allowing so that we can be clear on what we want-don't want and what to do to get there.

Fluidity, forward movement and flexibility I'm noticing are pivotal for us to live by at this time of ascension on Earth. With timelines and unconscious realities collapsing left and right it is a part of our self mastery to pivot as we are called to. Again...all a part of letting go so that we can pivot and ultimately, allowing something higher to present. And, who doesn't want that?

Here's a simple technique that I love to use to let go of tension in my body using the power of the breath. Tension is a form of resistance to life. I learned this technique in physical therapy and it's really helped.

Breath Work

Bring your attention to your breath.

Breathe into your heart

Exhale from your heart

On your inhale imagine your muscles dropping towards your feet passively (or opening like a flower--like the sunflowers above)

On your exhale release those muscles bringing every part of you back to neutral.

Be intentional that it's time to let go

Do this 3 to 4 times a day--it's simple and you'll feel better.

Hope this has assisted in some way so that you can create your highest life (as the conscious creator that you are) from a place of inspiration not a place of tension.
